Top 10 Compositional Rules
1) Rule of Thirds
The rule of thirds is a term used in photography. It is dissected into 9 squares with 4 intersection points placed where the lines all meet.

2)Balancing Elements
This is where you place the main object off centre as then it will create a more interesting photo to look at. To avoid leaving a void you should have a less important object to fill the void, for example in this picture the main image is the stones and the less important object is the clouds.
3)Leaning Lines
This is when your eye is drawn to a line and it leads to the main object of the image.
