Digital Publishing

Digital Publishing
Regulators
An example of a regulator in digital publishing is IPSO. Digital publishing examples are digital magazines, online newspapers, e-books and all sorts of media outlets online.

Laws
Copyrights in Digital Publishing is similar to the other types of media. It will be checked multiple times to make sure it has no sort of copyrighted content in it.

Clearances

The clearances are a sort of disclaimer. This is done to tell to tell the audience that this story is true. A disclaimer will be helpful for the audience so they know if they are reading something which could be harmful or offensive to them.

Trade Unions and Professional Bodies

PACT stands for Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television. It is the UK trade association for private content. This includes digital media. The campaign focuses on individual property and international issues.

Personnel
The personnel used in digital publishing contains many different job roles. There is a publishing rights manager who are the ones who make sure the money is coming in. There is also the publishing copy editor, who is the one who checks the content is interesting enough, valid enough and make sures there are no spelling or grammar mistakes. There is a commissioning editor who keeps the staff in control so they all meet their deadlines. Finally there is a press sub-editor who makes sure that the company stick to their norm and making sure the layout meets the companies requirements

Funding and Reasons
Blogs and web pages don't require funding so they don't get income and usually get income through adverts. But big companies who use them will fund a crew to run it and help bring in a income. The money that they do bring in ends up funding for software, editing, advertisements, marketing and this usually costs around £10,000. Some people if they have the right skills can set up there own blogs and ebooks for absolutely nothing.

Facilities
They can be run in all sorts of places such as, an office, a studio and even in your own house.

Time

This is the same as audio deadlines but instead of audio equipment its about software and computers.
Materials Required
Most of the equipment used is on a computer so all you really need is a computer and the right software.
